LABORATORY EXPANSION IN PROGRESS

Pittsfield, Mass. - Plastics Technology Laboratories, Inc. (PTLI) is expanding laboratory space, DOUBLING its current size to accommodate recent additions of equipment and personnel. The goal of the expansion is to create efficient and focused laboratories with one-stop plastics testing located at 50 Pearl Street, Pittsfield MA including a Weathering Lab, Rheology Lab, Analytical Lab, Mechanical Lab, Wet Lab, Flame Lab and Impact Lab. R. James Galipeau, Laboratory Manager at PTLI for nearly 20 years will manage all laboratories.

PTLI is ready for your testing.

Recent equipment acquisitions include Falex Wear Testers, Perkin Elmer DTMA, CNC Machining Capabilities for Specimen Preparation and additional Xenon Arc Weathering Capabilities. Personnel added include laboratory technicians and plastic machining specialists. Software has also been updated on many existing machines. Optimized turnaround times

Each laboratory is designed to increase productivity which should directly result in optimized turnaround times for customers. James Beauregard, President, stated, "PTLI is strategically placing itself to continue to be The Leaders in Plastics (Elastomers, Composites and Film) Testing. With our new expansion, customers can expect to receive fast turnaround and complete service well into the future."

Customer Service has also been expanded for efficient processing of the increased volume of incoming materials and outgoing data utilizing the latest e-technologies available.

The current project is about 50% complete and expected completion date is fall 2005.
