PTLI presents new test for Xenon-Arc Weathering
10/29/2003
- Pittsfield, MA
PTLI will talk about its use of a newly developed method for accelerated weathering, which offers superior correlation to natural Florida sunlight.
The test is known as "Highly Predictive Accelerated Weathering of
Engineering Thermolplastics" (Commonly referred to as HPAW) The test was
developed by James E. Pickett, GE Global Research, and V. Umamaheswaran, GE
Plastics.
While not accepted by any official body, the test shows great promise for
optimizing and predicting the behavior of polymeric materials after exposure to
sunlight. PTLI is actively supplying this method for various customers' R&D
programs.
Contact PTLI today to learn more about the HPAW
method.
